My family decided to visit Europe when we discovered my sister has been chosen to travel to France for the World Cup in 2008 with Driveaway Holidays, sponsored by Peugeot. We thought we would join her in Italy – I can not let my sister have fun now can I?
I must admit that Theft wanted was never going to end and was very tiring, but when we finally arrived in Rome, we were all happy again. We collected our car from the airport of Rome Fiumicino and filing Europcar was easy to find with many signs pointing us in the right direction.
After papers were signed and completed, we found our car and to our surprise we were upgraded to a sporty Alfa Romeo station wagon so we were ready to roll in luxury as the Italians in this Italian car. Our confidence was a little upset but when we struggled trying to find our way out of parking! Who would have thought it would be so complicated?
Fortunately, we hired the GPS Seymour has definitely saved much time and fights! The GPS is our driving and traveling much smoother and more Direct, which is exactly what you need a holiday. Rome was truly spectacular with many historical attractions and museums visit. My sister joined the St Peter while we were there which made the trip even more special. It was very romantic and you bring tears to your eyes!
My favorite attraction in Rome was the fountain of Trevi. The tradition is to throw a coin in the fountain to make a wish, then run a second piece of one day returning to Italy. Hope it works!
From Rome we went to Naples and Using our GPS, driving is not as hard as we first thought. Soon we were accustomed to crazy speeds on motorways and driving on the wrong side of the road, all this does not seem so strange anymore. In Naples, we booked the Amalfi Coast tour and the views were really beautiful. In Positano, we sampled the strong flavor of the famous Italian liqueur Limoncelo mouth watering chocolates and some local.
From Naples, we traveled to Milan for an overnight stay and then continued to Florence. Florence was remarkable and we were all surprised by the famous works of art. I studied this work in high school so it was pretty amazing to stand right in front of them. I loved statue of David by Michelangelo, if I had the chance I would have watched all day!
Our experience rental cars finished in the Roma Venice Pizzale near the ferry terminal. After all, our businesses, our bags were much heavier than we we expected but we managed to drag.
Venice was my favorite place in Italy. Old buildings built over the water, it was so unique and wonderful. We had the chance to take a ride on the gondolas through the canals and under bridges and we've chosen the perfect timing as was sunset. Our hotel was right next to Louis Vuitton and Prada makes us a lot of shopping!
After Venice, we booked a flight to Paris. The Eiffel Tower was our favorite attraction and when we reached the summit, there was an incredible view over the city. Although it was very popular with tourists because of the World Cup, it was really worth it, we were so overwhelmed with the views that the crowd did not bother us not. At night, the Eiffel Tower illuminated with light and lazer shows in the colors of winning the World Cup, South Africa, which was quite surprising.
Car rental in Italy gave us the freedom to explore many cities and hidden gems among our destinations. It was a simple pleasure Driving a luxury car in Italy with the help of our little friend practices GPS Seymour. I highly recommend a rental car and GPS for those who travel abroad. It was a family holiday which was tiring with the many attractions that we saw in a limited time, but it was a beautiful experience, one I hope I am able to repeat the experience. About the Author:
